Victoria Haynes

Comparison of Seasonal Burning on Cordgrass Community Composition and Livestock Distribution

Victoria Haynes is currently completing a Master of Science in Range and Wildlife Science at the Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute at Texas A&M University-Kingsville.  She was born and raised in Victoria, Texas and completed a Bachelor of Science at Texas A&M University-Kingsville in 2015. Her research on the El Sauz Ranch will concentrate on monitoring the movement and foraging behavior of the livestock and wildlife within and around prescribed burned and non-burned plots consisting of cordgrass communities.

Victoria is a member of the TAMUK Wildlife Society, Texas Chapter of the Wildlife Society, South Texas Quail Coalition, Boone and Crockett Club, and Association for Fire Ecology, and hopes to become a natural resource specialist for Texas Parks and Wildlife or Natural Resource Conservation Service.
