Tina Buford joined the East Foundation as the Director of Education, and is responsible for expanding natural resource education opportunities in South Texas. Based out of Harlingen, Tina delivers programming, knowledge, and leadership skills to the youth of South Texas, benefiting the region now and in the future.
Being a sixth generation rancher, Tina has a wealth of knowledge and experience related to private land stewardship, ranching, and wildlife management. She has a Bachelor of Science in Rangeland Ecology and Management from Texas A&M University and a Certificate in Ranch Management from Texas Christian University.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Tina worked as an Assistant Manager for a land and cattle company for 15 years and as a Contract Educator for the Conservation Legacy Program of the Texas Wildlife Association for two years.
Additionally, Tina is an active member of numerous conservation and land stewardship organizations, such as Texan by Nature, Texas Wildlife Association, Sand County Foundation, and Texas & Southwest Cattle Raisers Association, Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board member, and is well-respected within the natural resources and livestock professional communities.
