Forrest Fay is pursuing a Master of Science in Range and Wildlife Management at Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute at Texas A&M University - Kingsville. He is researching Fire Ecology under Dr. Sandra Rideout-Hanzak. Specifically, his project is examining the effects of season and return interval of fire on herbaceous vegetation's nearest-neighbor relationships and species composition in Texas's coastal prairies. Forrest grew up in northern Illinois where his passion for wildlife and the outdoors began. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Ecology and Management from Auburn University in May of 2022. He has a broad interest in prescribed fire and its effects on the landscape, livestock, and wildlife.
