Andrea Bruno, Ph.D.

Research Scientist

Andrea Bruno completed a Master of Science in Range and Wildlife Management with the Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute (CKWRI) at Texas A&M University-Kingsville working on a project titled Survey for Trichomonas gallinae and Assessment of Helminth Parasites in Northern Bobwhites from the Rolling Plains Ecoregion. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology from the University of Vermont, and worked throughout New England in the areas of environmental education, land conservation, and coastal water bird monitoring.

In August 2014, she began working on a Ph.D. with CKWRI involving aspects of developing a long-term monitoring plan for rangeland birds with special focus on using distance sampling to quantify northern bobwhite population response to different grazing strategies on East Foundation lands. In the future, Andrea hopes to continue work on conservation-focused research in Texas.
