As the East Foundation’s Chief Program Officer and Principal Scientist, Tyler Campbell, Ph.D., provides leadership and oversite for the Foundation’s charitable program of research, education, and outreach.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Tyler was the Feral Swine Project Leader for the USDA Wildlife Services National Wildlife Research Center in Kingsville, Texas, from 2004 to 2011 and in Gainesville, Florida from 2011 to 2013. He is an experienced scientist and manager as well as a productive researcher.
Tyler has done a considerable amount of work on white-tailed deer and is known as one of the nation’s experts on feral swine. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Management from Texas Tech University, a Master of Science in Range and Wildlife Management from Texas A&M University-Kingsville, and a Ph.D. in Forest Resources from the University of Georgia.
Tyler and his beautiful wife Stephanie have 3 active children, Wes, Morgan, and Aubrey.
