From The Wildlife Professional – Lassoing Students’ Imaginations

Masi Mejia, our education outcomes manager, grew up in Laredo listening to stories about ranch life from her vaquero grandfathers. She later studied wildlife biology and human dimensions before joining our team almost ten years ago. As an educator with East Foundation, she helps middle and high school students learn about the science happening on our ranches, from ocelot research to hands-on field days. Masi now serves as president-elect of the Texas Chapter of The Wildlife Society. If you want to learn more about her story, read the feature in The Wildlife Professional by staff writer Olivia Milloway.
