Alexandria Hiott is pursuing her Master of Science in Range and Wildlife Management at the Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute within Texas A&M University – Kingsville.  She is co-advised by Dr. Lisanne Petracca and Dr. Alynn Martin on a project using genetics and spatial ecology to better understand disease transmission between bobcats, ocelots, and domestic cats.   

She received her Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management from the University of Georgia in 2020. Since completing her undergraduate degree, she has worked as a technician on numerous projects with species ranging from Mexican gray wolves, black bears, and mountain lions to white-tailed deer and elk.  Outside of school she loves to hike, play board games, and travel.
