Wildlife Monitoring
Tiffany Pope is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Wildlife and Rangeland Sciences at the Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute within Texas A&M University – Kingsville. She is advised by Dr. Alynn Martin, with professional advisement from Dr. Ashley Reeves. Her research focuses on the impacts of parasitism on carnivore populations in South Texas. Her work investigates intestinal parasitism, ectoparasite vectors such as ticks, and associated vector-borne disease.
Tiffany is a Licensed Veterinary Technologist and instructor for the Veterinary Technology program at TAMUK. She earned an A.S. (2010) and B.S. (2012) in Veterinary Technology at Purdue University and practiced clinical veterinary nursing before entering academia. She earned an M.S. in Range and Wildlife Management at the Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute within Texas A&M University – Kingsville in 2019 studying ecological parasitology with a focus on raccoon roundworm (Baylisascaris procyonis) in southern Texas.
