Job Summary
The Digital Communications Intern will support the Foundation’s mission through content creation, social media management, and storytelling across digital platforms. This in-person position will be in the San Antonio office with occasional visits to the ranches (one to two a month). The intern will assist with:
Social media content creation and management (45% of the time)
– Create and schedule engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
– Develop video content and reels showcasing ranch activities
– Track and analyze social media metrics and engagement
Writing and content development (35% of the time)
– Produce blog posts about ranch activities, wildlife, and conservation
– Assist with website updates and press releases
– Document ranch visits through photography and written content
Ranch visit documentation, special projects, and other duties as needed (20% of the time)
– Photograph and document ranch activities and wildlife
– Assist with special events and outreach initiatives
Qualifications
College juniors, seniors, or graduate students in Communications, Public Relations, or related fields are encouraged to apply. Candidates must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and reside near San Antonio. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
– Strong writing skills with samples for social media and blog posts
– Basic proficiency in video editing (iMovie, Clipchamp, or similar)
– Working knowledge of Canva and photo editing tools
– Experience managing social media platforms
– Interest in agriculture, ranching, and conservation
