Wildlife Management and Conservation Projects

Wildlife Biology

The best decisions are based on reliable information. As we aim to develop management strategies that benefit our land, livestock, and wildlife, foundational information about the life history, population dynamics, and ecological role of wildlife species is essential. The role of predators and their prey (like small mammals), avian populations and diversity, and herpetofauna distribution can inform our evaluation of landscape management outcomes and responses to wildlife-induced disturbances like feral hogs.

Outcomes

Ocelot Population Slowly Growing Through Cultivation

The recovery of the ocelot largely depends on private landowners and the stewardship of their lands. East Foundation is committed to producing reliable research aimed at making this a reality.
