Perspectives on Agricultural Research Organizations: A New Tool for Agricultural Research and Land Stewardship

The Agricultural Research Organization (ARO) model, established by Congress in 2015, enables estates to dedicate assets toward agricultural research, as demonstrated by East Foundation, which has produced over 110 peer-reviewed publications through partnerships with land grant universities. To advance agriculture through the ARO mechanism, organizations should focus on partnerships, professional advisors, people, and products, while getting students and scientists onto private lands within a research context.
