From Caesar Kleberg Tracks – Northern Bobwhite Hunting Dynamics & Modern Technology

This article examines how technology can be applied to the traditional sport of bobwhite quail hunting to help manage and sustain quail populations and hunting activity. It states that quail hunting generates major economic revenue in South Texas. The authors conducted a study using GPS tracking of hunting locations and times to analyze spatial and temporal distributions and efficiency. They found hunting was distributed across most of the available land, with highest efficiency in mid-late season.
