Over 30 years of research at the Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute has focused on improving northern bobwhite population estimation techniques, with this report updating their 2010 helicopter survey methodology using expanded data from 2014-2019 to provide more accurate conversion factors for translating covey counts into population density estimates.
